The approximately 1,600 friends see themselves as a bridge between the Goethe University, which is one of the most modern universities in Europe, and the city and its region. As sponsors, the Friends want to create free space, pave the way and open doors. It is citizens and representatives of companies and politics, founders, scientists and alumni who actively participate here. The Freundesvereinigung, one of the largest sponsoring associations in Frankfurt, awards renowned prizes every year and makes a variety of projects possible. These include participation in conferences abroad, the organization of events, concrete research projects or even books and equipment. Every membership fee and every euro donated goes towards improving research and teaching and brings the Goethe University a step closer to the top. The Goethe University can only meet its great challenges if it can continue to rely on loyal friends. One can never have enough friends on the way to the future. Become a friend too!
